Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas – A feature-length documentary will soon be released to the public.

According to the film-maker sound-master Christian Wilmes is doing one final check of the mix. The Ethiopian diaspora owes a lot to all those behind this project that has done a lot to shade light on the suffering of the people of Gambella, Ethiopia. It is true that land grab is done in other regions in Ethiopia: Oromia, Amhara and Afar regions for instance.

Those who have seen the earlier version of the film say that through this documentary the world can see the injustice behind the much talked about double-digit economic growth in Ethiopia today.

Abbay Media team in DC have had a chance to watch the earlier version of this documentary when it was released to limited audience at American University in Washington DC. Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas! clearly documents the injustice done by the repressive minority government in Ethiopia against the poor people of Gambella. It also show how land grab contributes to the environmental degradation in that region of Ethiopia and the government’s neglect.

Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas! is a great documentary about land grab in Ethiopia Behind the double digit econ growth there is a lot of suffering. On the top of the suffering from displacement the repressive minority government does not care about security of the Gambella people. The cross boarder raids, killing and abductions from the side of South Sudan are being reported repeatedly. The minority regime in Ethiopia totally ignores the suffering.
