Last April, in North Shoa, Minjar Shenkora District, Melka Jillo, Amhara Bet,  farmers’ Kalashnikovs were confiscated by the minority led Ethiopian regime.

According to our sources, the farmers of the area were very angry about the seizure. They even warned the district administration and the command post to return their guns or else expect a punitive response.

The district administration responded to their request and gave them a quick reply. After negotiating with the elders of the area, the confiscated Kalashnikovs were returned to the rightful owners. They were also compensated with 600 birr for the bullets that were not returned.
