The bickering and infighting amongest the Minority Ethiopian Government has peaked. Important government institutions in Addis Ababa are being guarded by soldiers who came from Tigray Region.

Roads that lead to South through Gamu Gofa are closed and military forces are conducting searches. Lights were out from Moyale up to Yabelo and soldiers are stopping and searching everything and everyone in the dark, it is reported.

The tension between Tigrean People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and Oromo People’s Democratic Organization (OPDO) in Addis Ababa has reached breaking point. Sources indicate TPLF is forced to bring Tigrean soldiers to guard crucial places in the city.

The infighting between these former friends has been going on for so long. TPLF and OPDO are at loggerheads.  On one side are the factions that align themselves with Gen. Samora Yenus while the others are following the security chief Getachew Asefa and they are close to exploding.

Even though the infighting has become a public knowledge, insiders believe, the recent kerfuffle was directed towards purging Abadula Gemeda’s support base. Other sources indicate, the turmoil is due to the search that is being conducted to find the allegedly missing high government official.

The recent clash that happened in Illubabor has exacerbated the infighting that has been going on between OPDO and TPLF and has come to the surface and public. At present they both have waged war against each other and are fighting for their survival.
