Selam, Sky and Ethio buses, belonging to the ruling party members, were attacked while travelling to Harar, Ethiopia for St. Qulibie Gabriel annual celebration.

The buses that were travelling to the church were stopped by a protesting mass at a place near Chirro called Arbarekete city. The travellers were asked to alight and the buses were stoned and all the glasses smashed to smithereens.

It is reported, the protesting mass was about to torch the buses but were dispersed by government forces. The buses were escorted back to Addis Ababa.

The United Nations Organizations, worried  about the general unrest in Ethiopia and the recent incident, has warned their workers to be vigilant.
