  1. thank you for posting AMBASSEL.well done .a great  ETHIOPIAN melody and an amazing flute player. GOD bless ETHIOPIA and ETHIOPIANS.

  2. lol i remember this tune when i was 5 (now 41 ) playing on night time ethiopian radio and there was a frog croaking at the same time .

  3. @Jodino Its a poetry in Amharigna, but a pros translation of what he said would be something like: " Isn't it better to go to Ambasel than worrying ( thinking too much) in the world of reminiscence?" To better understand the meaning, it would be good if you know about the place Ambasel and the style of music called Tizita ( reminiscence).

  4. This singer is amazing – Saw his interview with Ethiopian TV recently and am fascinated by his humbleness, sharp answers, and demeneaour (tehetena). His dad was perhaps the most accomplished and yet lttle acknoledged artist in HagerFiker and in all of Ethiopia. The unique thing about Dawit's dad, Frew, was
that he was out of his league and had lists of exceptionally beautiful songs like
Eshururu, Gumu Garedogen New, Menfesen Lemades, Almaz Meneda new, etc. Keep it up Dawit – Degitu

  5. I remember the beautiful landscape and wild animals on TV while this music played in the background. Nostalgia, what a bittersweet feeling :*)
