Before I die I would like to master the Begena and teach it to my children and thier children's children. Atse Tewodros Aba Tatek was an excellent Begena Derdari. So was Etegae Tayitu Betul.

Hi! This is so unbelievably pure and spiritual and beautiful. I really feel this so much. To answer your question, I believe the instrument is called a Begena, an Ethiopian instrument that resembles a large lyre.
