Under the circumstances, there is no question the self-proclaimed ‘Oromo’ Prime Minster in the Ethnic Apartheid State of Ethiopia is doing his best to overcome the crises brought by nonother than the self-described ethnic minority ruling party of the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) instigated apartheid system.
PM/Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali who worked for the make-believe ‘Federal’ Defense Force and ‘National’ Intelligence Agency under TPLF Central Committee Command Post understands closeup the enormity of the crimes committed by his TPLF created OPDO party in the make-believe EPRDF ruling collusion party of Ethiopia.
Ethiopians also understand why the PM stage multiple ‘forget-and-forgive and love and peace drama on Media infrastructure owned and controlled by TPLF Central Committee Command Posts. Likewise, the economy — more so the infrastructure of capital including land, Market and finance and the rest also are under TPLF Central Committee Command Post. Obviously, the political, security and intelligence apparatus is the bread-and-butter of TPLF’s survival — essentially making TPLF a proxy occupation force than a governing member ruling party.
Therefore, his dilemma to save the people of Ethiopia from the occupation of TPLF Central Committee Command Post controlled political, economic, Media and security apparatus is twofold. In one hand he is part-and-partial of the Ethnic Apartheid State TPLF created and exploited for almost three decades that brought him to power. In another, he is given a task to make ‘democratic’ reform against the ‘minority’ ethnic party interest that dominate everything around him. In short, he is in it in what is referred in game theory as the prisoner’s dilemma.
The cat-and-mouse game of minority-majority ethnic parties in the Apartheid State kept the make-believe ruling EPRDF member parties stuck in the mud — wanting to have their cake and eating it too at the same time. In other words, real democratic reform will guarantee to make them all irrelevant or sustaining ethnic apartheid rule in a nation of many ethnic groups will bring their demise.
The no-way-in-no-way-out dilemma TPLF put itself and its satellite parties is taking a toll on the people of Ethiopia and confusing the occupation force and its satellite parties’ members. The minority occupying party (TPLF) members that would loss the most either way is scrambling to hold on what they can of the apartheid system that benefited them the most and scraping what will bring their demise (politics). That is where OPDF and the new PM comes in.
Therefore, the staged dramas since Dr. Abiy became Prime Minster of Ethiopia by the sheer force of grassroot revolt against the occupying TPLF force (party) that started three years ago, nothing he will say will address the two-fundamental problems the uprising demanded – Liberation from TPLF’s proxy ethnic apartheid occupation and no taxation without representation (democracy) in that order.
To save TPLF instigated ethnic apartheid system (occupation), the supposedly ‘majority’ party OPDO was necessary to bring the Oromo PM Abiy abroad but, to save TPLF’s taxation without representation, the Oromo PM of the Apartheid State has no capacity, credential and the interest to do it.
Stuck between the two, PM Abiy’s only choice was to pacify Ethiopians to save ethnic Apartheid thus, OPDO and TPLF to save taxation without representation on the rest of Ethiopia.
I even went as far as suspecting if the PM might be as ignorant as many about TPLF’s Art of Deception and gave him the benefit of the doubt why he is not addressing the important issues since he became Prime Minster. I thought, he might be a causality of TPLF propaganda machine as many cadres that spew the scripts verbatim are like his predecessor embarrassingly did.
But, ignorance or deliberate; closer look at his staged dramas around the country reviles; his main interest is to sustain the Apartheid State in partnership with TPLF than what the people of Ethiopia expected of him to act immediately, in short and long-term reforms needed, first to remedy the crimes of genocides, atrocities, displacements, violation of rights, racketeering and corruption of his ‘partner’ party TPLF that is not even mentioned yet. Instead, series of theoretical future reforms to come in the unspecified future accompanied by a love-and-peace tour on the same Medias controlled by TPLF Command Post to ‘pacify’ Ethiopians was the best he came up with so far. Quite frankly, it is an insult to the intelligence of the people of Ethiopia not to mention the 1000s who died for freedom and democracy.
But, I must admit, the PM’s sweet talk feels real even to a skeptic like me who understood how TPLF’ Art of Deception played Ethiopians and the world as fools to extend its brutal and corrupt proxy occupation for 27 long-years and counting.
Therefore, ‘Prime Minster Abiy, whatever you are up to; don’t insult the intelligence Ethiopians’ was the first thing that came in mind. With all sincerity, after 27 years of insults and atrocities by TPLF and its satellite parties’ warlords, it is about time the Hope PM stop the same ‘cow in the sky with her milk to come soon’ doublespeak that doesn’t hold water.
Nevertheless, lobbying for the release of Ethiopian born ‘Billionaire in Saudi Arabia’ that allegedly stole billions of dollars from his country of citizenship rather took me back to reinforce my skepticism about him further.
Here is how Nazar Manek (pictured left) of Bloomberg correspondent in Addis Ababa since 2017 and independent analyst of Ethiopia & greater Horn of Africa report titled Ethiopia Lobbies for release of Billionaire in Saudi Arabia’ put it. His entire report was based on what the new PM Abiy Ahmed and TPLF owned Fana News Agency quoting the Ethiopian Government Information Minster said.
Here is a taste of Foreign Media coverage to come. Nazar Manek of Bloomberg that report on Ethiopia and Horn of Africa while his Bloomberg associate correspondent Samuel Gebre in Nairobi writes about Kenya and Somalia, Eritrea and Horn of Africa and both, jointly freelance on Ethiopia Online , Standard-Examiner Satenaw, an online Ethiopian Media shows how little attention is given by wire news services of the world to cover the region with little or no journalist experience of their correspondents.
Up on his return, Abiy showed up in a musical event in Addis Exhibition Hall in the Capital organized by the environmentalist/musician Gashe Abera Molla unannounced and took the stage to tell the audience about the nine out of the ten accomplishments of his trip to Saudi Aribia and The Emirates. Besides his alleged claim of getting 1000 Ethiopian prisoners in Saudi prison and his talk with the Crown Prince Saudi for the release of Mohammod Al Amudi arrested for alleged corruption since last year as reported, he didn’t say more. But, when he brush off Al Amoudi alleged corruption with his TPLF partners in crime from a much poorer country of his birth Ethiopia as a minor issue love-and-peace will cure to enthusiastic audience staged to clap as often and as fast as he utter sweet words out of his mouth showed where his real priority rest less than 60 days since he became a Prime Minster.
Never mind the millions of the recently displaced ‘Oromo’ Ethiopians from the ‘Somali’ Region and in to Kenya he failed to go and comfort and make the people responsible arrested. Set aside the millions displaced Ethiopians in Welkite, Beni Shangule, Afar, Gambella, Oromo, Sidama for the last 27 years waiting for him to bring about justice. Who cares about poor Ethiopians scattered around the country being hunted by ethnic Agazi and Liyu militia assassins that are supposedly under his command to order it stopped. Forget about Ethiopians robbed of their livelihoods and lands by TPLF Mafia investors including the Saudi billionaire awaiting recourse. Ignore the 100s of thousands of nameless and faceless Ethiopian prisoners still rotting in TPLF’s jails deprived of justice? How about the millions of refugees scattered around the world and domestic workers in the Middle East — dying on the open sea or foreign prisons?
Is the alleged corrupt billionaire in the Ritz Carlton hotel-prison a priority for the new PM than 1000s of Ethiopian prisoners including the legendary democratically elected Former Kinjit party leader Andargachew Tsige imprisoned by TPLF intelligence agency few miles away from the PM Office? More question no answer.
My people, be prepared for the worst scenario when Dr. Abiy Ahmid began covering up for TPLF’s crimes one at a time despite the best love and peace drama he is putting out on TPLF controlled propaganda machine he uses but, refuses to clean up as a priority # 1.
Don’t get me wrong. Saudi courts that incarcerate 1000s of innocent Ethiopians and their own billionaire citizen/investor are as bad as the kangaroo courts of apartheid state of Ethiopia that set him free of corruption for 27 years as he himself confessed. It would be wonderful to see him in real court of law to explain the massive alleged corruption conspiracy he engaged in with his beloved TPLF partners against the people of Ethiopia – reinforcing; law and justice to the people of Ethiopia comes first before make-believe love and peace for the ruling elites he has been preaching since he became PM.
Wait until Abiy shows up in Europe and North America to neutralize Ethiopians in diaspora planned by TPLF Ambassador in US that recently tested the water in Minnesota where TPLF apartheid system consider the ethnic apartheid Oromia State in North America. When you give an inch for apartheid system, there is no limit how far territory it takes.
Expect a new OPDO initiated Love and Peace Transformation Plan by the way of investment to the create jobs for the youth of Oromo Ethiopians and prosperity for all Ethiopians if we love each other as Ethiopians (Nations and Nationalities is no more need) or as the infamous Eritrean national masquerading as Amhara Region official Berket Simon in front of PM Abiy described it; Ethiopians are one big family the “market will unite” meaning; TPLF racket will continue if only his friend and partner Al Amoudi come home from Saudi and keep digging for gold.
You see my people, the fix in. In nation of too many ‘Doctors Without Conscious’ anything is possible and expected at the expenses of our people. And, the only remedy known to humans to cure the lack of conscious is raw justice. Delaying and denying justice for the people of Ethiopia is what Doctors Without Conscious ordered as they, once again assemble to tell us; love and peace to the offenders as oppose to the innocent people of Ethiopia that suffered so much under TPLF apartheid proxy occupation is good thing to cure the injustice committed against the people of Ethiopia.
Surprisingly, seeing the most ardent war-and-hate monger ethnic elites turning in to peace and love advocates should tell us one thing and one thing only – Doctors Without Conscious rule the day to cover up their malpractice. Amazingly, they didn’t even spare Jesus the Saver or Prophet Mohammod the Messenger they despised all their lives to claim; the Holy Men blessed their call for love and peace before law and justice for the people that suffered on their hands.
The sudden spiritual awakening of many former communist-ethnic apartheid advocates and their apologists that wasted millions of innocent lives and livelihoods of the people of Ethiopia should remind us what Aristotle once wrote; “at his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice he is the worst”.
Therefore, when I said ‘Doctors without Conscious’ I meant to say; they are separated from law and justice is where we are and, they refuse the cure for their mental illness before it gets worse to the detrimental of the people of Ethiopia’s peace and security once again. But, they don’t appear wanting to stop infecting more Ethiopians with their illness as we approach three decades of their brutal and corrupt ethnic apartheid rule.
Thus, the new Hope Prime Minster Abiy that supposedly was [S]elected to cure their illness either playing us for fools or he doesn’t know; the only cure is law-and-justice he failed to address. Then again, he is known to have credential in peace and security but yet, he appears not to have a clue like many of his peers — there is no peace nor security for the people of Ethiopia without law and justice regardless of the public dramas he put out on ETV and all the microphones of the make-believe Medias’ shoved in front of his mouth to make it look like there is one.
What PM/Dr. Abiy needs to do is to come on the Free Press and explain; why is it taking him so long to figure out law and justice are prerequisite for peace and security than the other way around as he agonizes to ‘preach’ his way out of his responsibility like his sorry predecessors did before him.
But again, you can’t blame him when lots of dimwitted Doctors Without Conscious around telling him he is doing wonderful job. No wonder they are screaming peace and security everywhere like they discovered it recently while they deprive law and justice for the people of Ethiopia as we speak. Could it be the new Five-Year Make-believe Love and Peace Transformation plan to play us as fools like the late PM did to extend his rule?
My people, whether we admit it or not; our country is in crises because she is on the hands of Doctors Without Conscious. The lack of interest of Doctors with Conscious to come together and act to demand law and justice isn’t helping either.
There is no doubt in anybody’s mind by now, the problem of Ethiopia can be solved easily if we as people sort out the two camps on their deeds than words. And, absence of law and justice, the only known way to sort them out is the Free Press that doesn’t exist in Ethiopia but, in the diaspora. The fact the Free Press is overwhelmed by its make-believe counterparts with ‘gorilla reporters’ left us with barrage of counterfeit information preventing Ethiopians from come together to make the right decisions.
Therefore, the proliferation of make-believe Free Press with gorilla reporters in-and-out of Ethiopia putting out በሬ ወለደ news from unanimous sources and diversionary propaganda are dragging the struggle for freedom and democracy of the people of Ethiopia to the benefit of the same Doctors Without Conscious.
At least, ‘Medias’ in the Free World shouldn’t be excused to ambush us like gorillas in the jungle hiding their reporters. It is not an exaggeration to say, majority of online ‘Medias’ don’t identify their reporters when they put out በሬ ወለደ news. Understandably, those against the rogue regime of Woyane have solid fear for their families left behind for exposing the regime’s crimes as many found out the hard way. But, the rogue regime supporters and apologists run Medias’ gorilla reporters are the biggest offenders of concealing their identity and whereabout for obvious reasons — they want to pass on the regime’s propaganda disguised as Free Press. But, no one know why the rest do it.
The supposedly ‘oppositions’ appearing on any make-believe Medias with gorilla reporters to attack others is also common. No wonder political hacks disguised as reporters are afraid to be identified not for fear of Woyane but, to disfranchise Ethiopians.
A good example of on online Medias with nameless and faceless gorilla reporters on multiple platform that put out በሬ ወለደ news from unverifiable sources to create maximum confusion in the diaspora are Ze-Habisha-Tenaadam. Here is an example.
With all the confusion make-believe Media created on the people of Ethiopia, so far, the new Prime Minster refuse to neutralize TPLF’s stranglehold on the public Medias at home and afraid to come out on the Free Press to ‘Face the Nation’. Instead, he is using the same make-believe Medias to put out his staged peace-and-love drama performance around the country and beyond because no one ask him about law and justice.
The saying, ‘a lie goes around the world before the truth puts its shoes on’ is proven to be true on make-believe Medias before the truth catches up to them. The formula gave them an advantage at the expenses of the people of Ethiopia.
It shouldn’t have been difficult for the new PM to make it his top priority to address the lie machine against the people of Ethiopia under his supposed command. Instead he is showing up on the same make-believe Medias to advance his party interest against the people’s interest– insulting the intelligence of our people.
The lists of public Medias like many public agencies held hostage by TPLF Command Post are awaiting the PM to appoint independent body to take them over in the interest of the people of Ethiopia—the truth.
With no laws and justice thus, no peace and security and with no Free Press and Free Assembly thus, no true information, why would PM Abiy invited ‘the oppositions’ but, to confuse Ethiopians further and disfranchise the oppositions to the benefit of the ethnic apartheid autocracy?
Unfortunately, from all parties out there in the diaspora, Oromo Democratic Front (ODF) officials were the first to be invited (according to the Chairman) and took the offer with no question asked as they prepare to move to Ethiopia under a State of Emergency to be part of the reform as make-believe ‘peaceful oppositions’. Therefore, in an article title “Oromo Democratic Front or Demoralization Front?” I attempted to show the slash-and-burn culture of contemporary political elites that got us where we are in the first place. Ever since, ODF officials are scrambling to find convincing explanation why they breached the public trust by diching their partners abroad and snubbing at the opposition at home to negotiate solo in the middle of a State of Emergency to says more about the new PM intention than their lust for power.
It is funny the stemmed ODF officials didn’t even demand the lifting of the State of Emergency that prohibits public assembly to conduct their proclaimed ‘peaceful struggle’. I guess they can do it online with the permission of the Information Technology Minster Command Post of TPLF Central Committee Chairman Debretsion Gebremichael – the de facto Prime Minster of the country.
But, their audacity to disarm their former National Democratic Movement partner — Patriotic-Ginbot 7 Movement before the secret agreement they signed with the regime paper ink dry alone is historic that should go in the Hall-of-Shame of Ethiopian History.
So far, they refused to say where they signed the agreement and with who, nor they released the agreement they signed in secret to the public as they didn’t in 1991 with TPLF before they flew to Addis Ababa. Talk about history repeating itself.
It is interesting the comical regime that jailed the beloved Professor Merera Gudina, Chairman of the Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC) just for seating next to ‘Professor Birhanu Nega, the Chairman of Patriotic-Ginbot 7 Movement labeled a ‘terrorist organization’ by the regime. But, the same rogue regime invites Oromo Democratic Front officials that signed agreement to join hand with the same Patriotic-Ginbot 7 to end the regime rule. Could it be they are the Oromo version of Molla Golla of Tigray that betrayed Patriotic-Ginbot 7 several years ago?
I don’t understand why Patriotic-Ginbot 7 Movement for Freedom, Justice and Democracy freaks out the ruling ethnic apartheid regime and every make-believe political party and Media. My suspicion was its stand for Freedom, Justice and Democracy of Ethiopians by all means necessary. I must thank ODF officials for confirming my suspicion running from Freedom, Justice and Democracy for Ethiopians.
But, the saddest thing of all to me is: how long our people must endure the dysfunctional behavior of contemporary elites at the expenses of our people’s Freedom, Justice and Democracy remained the million-dollar question awaiting answer.
The grassroot movement should take note who-is-who selling out our people’s Freedom, Justice and Democracy for the highest bidder behind their back as the Free Press demands answers on behalf of the people.
As to the member of Ethiopian People Democratic Revolutionary Front (EPDRF) led by the new PM, they should know liberation from proxy occupation (ethnic apartheid) and no taxation without representation (democracy) is not going away by ‘love-and peace’ drama but, law and justice. No one knows ‘what love got to do with’ ethnic apartheid rule nor taxation without representation. But, it sounds like the familiar violent father who claims, ‘I bit my wife and children to death out of love’.
It is highly recommended, the make-believe Prime Minster Abiy Ahimd NOT to come in the Free World to preform love-and-peace drama representing the abusive ethnic Apartheid regime unless he wanted to be humiliated in front of the whole world for abusing Ethiopians. He would be better off seeking political asylum and make history than being used as the face of the only Apartheid regime left in the world.
Gorge Orwell wrote ‘political language…is designed to make lies sounds truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind”. That sounds just like what TPLF/EPDRF does and the PM should exist before it is too late or be brave enough to do the right thing.
My final advice to PM/Dr. Abiy Ahmid is ‘make history do not tell story’ as the French like to say.
The article is dedicated to contemporary Ethiopians that honor their words and agreements no matter what like our forefathers. It is high time Ethiopians dishonor those violating their agreement unless we want dictatorship to strive.
