First Somalia needs safety, security and stability before big economic countries like Canada, China, USA, UK, Germany, EU, Turkey, Japan, India, Norway, Brazil and Qatar will invest billions of their money into Somalia. This rich countries with more money than investment opportunities would throw billions of dollars into poorer untapped countries if the potential is there.

    Unfortunately right now the Somali people are devided into 10 qabil/countries and Al Shabab is only creating more chaos and extremism in the country. Some people have even asked themselves if qabil comes before somalinimo then its better the country joins Kenya just like when Mandera was taken by Kenya 20 years ago when somalis where fighting themselves. Today this area have huge gas and oil reserves wich of course belongs to Kenya.

    Personally I think Puntland, Hirshabelle, Jubaland and this places should stop acting like countries by havinghavingleaders who travel and make deals with foreign countries.This is not how a united people and country acts. Even in countries with federal or state system they don't act like this.

    Imagine if Nordrhein-Westfalen wich is is the biggest state in Germany or California in the United States or
    New South Wales wich is the biggest state in Australia had leaders that made foreign trips whenever he/she wanted without the collaboration with the capital city? All this countries have in common that big cities like Sidney, Los Angles or New York are not the capitals.
    The only country with federal system I have been to is Germany and this country runs like a machine. I have been to Nordrhein -Wesfalen in Germany and even though this state have some of the biggest cities like Dusseldurf, Munchengladbach, Leverkusen, Essen, Cologne, Bonn, Dortmund and with a population of 20 million people they still follow the leadership of Berlin. And the leader of the state is minister president.

    Everything is clear and organized and there is no confusion. But the situation is much different in Somalia. Maybe next time when people ask somali people about their ethnicity they should say the state name instead of claiming to be a Somali person because they value qabil more than somalinimo. Either you are a Somali person or the qabil wich used to protect your camels 100 years ago. That is the choice you have to make in order to create unity and follow the somalinimo. Or else keep following Mandera and just join Kenya so you can have peace of mind because realistically 10 somali qabil/countries can never be a sovereign countries. That is just not realistic. Also realistically NFD, Somaliland, Ogaden and Djibouti is long gone. So following Somaliland and Djibouti with their unique history by creating a new state in Somalia every singel day with unelected leader who acts like a president is just madness.

    But the good news is China is investing billions of dollars in Djibouti and this country is mostly populated by Somali people. It shows you that Somali people can be civilized even though sometimes you wonder why only the former italian part of the country is having so much difficulties embracing peace, unity and progress.
    So why should foreign countries invest their money in unstable and risky Somalia? Right now the only thing this foreign countries can afford are humanitarian aid. Japan gave 5 million dollars yesterday to food safety even though Japan have some of the biggest companies in the world who are always looking for untapped world to invest billions of dollars into.

    China have built their first military base outside of China in Djibouti to follow closely and protect the billions of investment they made in African countries. So Djibouti can only expect more and bigger investments from China in the future if they play their cards right because it looks like China is not going back anytime soon.

    For Somalia the safety, security and the stability is the most important things right now. This country have large untapped potential for export growth. Foreign investors needs to examine the patrelioum industry, agriculture industry, fishing industry, mineral industry and the service industry. This can create highly paid jobs for thousands of people. Just the tourism industry wich is part of the service industry can sometimes be worth more than oil and gas. This industry is the livelihoods for many countries. Many people forget that 90% of the economy in Dubai is from tourism and not from the oil industry.
    We can also see this in much closer places like Zanzibar wich is also a Muslim state but still created a paradise on earth for high paying tourists from around the world. This money from tourism provides infrastructure, schools and hospitals for their state.
    Same thing in Morocco, Malaysia and soon in Saudi Arabia because their oil will not last forever.

  9. I would like to thank the Somali government for their stratgetic cooperation with Qatar in helping them enhance and strengthen their key economic institutions. As you may know Somali has rich oil and gas reserves located strategically in the Indian ocean. Oil prices has doubled as a result of low production in Qatar and many other gulf nations. Qatar's secret militarly base in mogadishu can serve as a gateway for oil exports to Qatar so they can combat low production rates and high prices. Qatar is also facing a huge food crisis as they import most of it's food from Somalia because Qatar has a barren dessert land not suitable for arable farming. I hope Somalia can lease their two stratgetic rivers and ocean to Qatar which is a vassal state of America.
