  1. As you say Mr Matlosa that it should be treated with caution, then what has the AU done since the Southern Cameroon issue started since in the 1990?. Are you all waiting for a civil war to broke out before acting?. What are really the functions of this Union meetings when they can't resolve burning issues in the Continent?. Take a good look at the European Union as they react fast in harmonizing issues affecting their Union Nations. When will African Leaders wake up from slumber?.

  2. The problem is the Regime Governments holding on to power by buying foreign guns, not the citizens and the country borders.

  3. WE HAVE A PLAN FOR AFRICA,IF WE ARE GIVEN AUDIENCE.TO SOLVE ALL OUR PROBLEMS WITHOUT ANY CASUALTIES.

  4. White man give Africans independence fifty years ago but corruptions, over-stay in power, selfishness and greediness still hold most of African States backwardness.

  5. Poorly researched reporting on the Cameroon issue.Federalism was not tried and failed in the case of Cameroon, it was illegally abolished by the leader of the French part of the country by way of a fraudulent referendum in 1972.

Look at the history of Southern Cameroons, how the two territories came together, what the agreements of their coming together were.

There is no secession in the case of Cameroon but SEPARATION. They both had their independence on separate dates.
Please do your research before going on air to misinform your audience about secession in the case of Southern Cameroons.

  6. The people of La Republique du CameroUn (French) and the people of Southern Cameroons (English), achieved independence on 2 separate dates. One 1st January 1960, the other 1st October 1961.The two have different UN internationally defined boundaries.Southern Cameroonians are merely asking to (restore their independence), to go back to where they were before the territories got joined illegally. The UN must now step in and correct their mistakes and separate the two.
The people have their right to self determination.Southern Cameroons must be free from La Republique du CameroUn's annexation and oppression.

  7. There is need too for a clear distinction between "secession" and "separation". The Southern Cameroons' case is that of seperation. It should be recalled or make known that the UNGA resolution 1608 of April 1961 granted Southern Cameroons independence with October 1, set as the independence day. On the other hand, French Cameroun, (La Republique du Cameroun (LRC)) obtained her own independence in January 1st, 1960. Even the A.U and the UN recognises the Southern Cameroons as a people and thus, a right to self-determination. Why has the government in place opted for violence and repression in place of a frank and sincere dialogue (force of argument)? There was no violence when the Southern Cameroons chose to federate (though a pseudo-federation) with LRC. Why not allow the people too move away by their own volition rather than declaring war on unarmed civilians. Since October 22nd, 2017 genocidal killings by LRC military have been going on in the Southern Cameroons. Many young people are being maimed, with some having their legs shot to incapacitate them and massive arrests carried out and the people carried to unknown destinations. The suituation is already very very bad as it is reported that more than 100 have been killed since Oct.22nd. What's the UN, AU or international community waiting for? For the entire people of the Southen Cameroons to be wiped out?

  8. Africans we are still fighting ourselves instead of uniting ourselves we are fighting each other we are still slaves. when are we going to see the EU countries fighting among themselves and killing each other?

  9. The Continent Of Africa SHOULD NOT SECEDE FROM EACH OTHER… The Continent Should UNITE UNDER ONE UNIFIED GOVERNMENTAL ASSEMBLY. Allowing ALL THE COUNTRIES OF MOTHER AFRICA To Secede FROM ALL COLONIALIST INTEREST… A Divided Continent, Becomes a Weaker Continent…

As Africa Begins to Industrialize and Develop The Continent's Technology AND WEALTH? Separating IS THE LAST THING That should be occurring… A United Mother Africa Can Once Again become The Greatest Continent On Earth… Secession? NO… Unification? Yes…

  10. Somaliland republic was not separate from Somalia it was a country that united with Somalia in 1960 after it's independence from Britain.
Now Somaliland republic restored it's independence from Somalia since 1991
