They are called the “Windrush generation”. That is a refefence to the ship, the Empire Windrush, that carried the first wave of immigrants from the West Indies to Britain in 1948.

Many arrvied as children on their parents’ passports – and have lived in the UK for over 70 years, paying taxes and insurance, but never formally becoming British Citizens.

Now, as the government tightens its immigration rules, those without the proper documents are being denied services and could even face deportation.

Some are calling it ‘cruel and inhumane’ treatment.

The government has apologised and it’s promsing an investigation. But will that be enough?

  1. i guess African countries need to set strict conditions on UK while negotiating new business markets for UK in Africa as UK is leaving EU

  2. And EU citizens get a free pass this country is a joke, they even tried with the Gurkhas who are the most fearless force in the British army, u guess if you are brown and black you can't be a citizen but some euro trash is fine

  3. Every time the media invite an Asian to speak on this they change the subject from Windrush to immigrants in general. Theyโ€™re two very different things, stop inviting them on if they canโ€™t focus on the subject.

  4. And people still hold to the delusion that Britain isnโ€™t racist. Itโ€™s racist af, theyโ€™re just really sneaky with it.

  5. Black Africans and Caribbeans, claim they were asked to Come to Britain, claim they were Wanted in Britain, claim they were Welcome in Britain??? Did the Government actually ask the British Community and People, if they wanted there Country and Cities overrun with Coloured Dependents??? The Answer is NO!!! they were forced upon our British Communities against OUR will!!! and the Government wonder why, their is social brake down, from a loss of shared Identity, ancestral and racial heritage!!!

  6. No time for Brexit or this and that but have all the time for war and bomb. Other things not important and need proof but war and bomb must be done first without need proof

  7. these people are either stupid , lazy or both !
