Residences of Prof. Berhanu Nega and Mr. Andargachew Tsige Sold

Patriotic G7 chairperson Prof. Berhanu Nega and Mr. Andargachew Tsige’s residents in Ethiopia are auctioned by court order. The attorney general indicated the proceeds from the sale have gone to the coffer of the government.

The two patriots were accused of trying to topple the government’s institution by force and have been presented to court under the file of Brigadier General Tefera Mamo. Both Prof. Berhanu and Mr. Andargachew Tsige are sentenced to death and their properties confiscated in absentia, it is reported.

The attorney general has reported the house of Prof. Berhanu which was under construction, was sold in auction and fetched Birr 6,380,000.00. The money has gone to the government’s treasury. The house of Mr. Tsige was sold in the same manner and the proceeds amounting to Birr 1,000,000.00 has gone to the government’s treasury as well.

It is also reported, all other properties that belongs to Prof. Berhanu are in the process of being sold. The properties that are to be auctioned and the proceeds submitted to the government treasury include shares, Clinic, cars and tele centers.
