The ‘Embitechanet’ (non-cooperation) campaign being waged in the Amhara region of Ethiopia is causing alarm in the Minority based regime in power. It is reported that the regime commonly referred to as ‘Woyane’ is moving Military troops to the region. Gondar a city in the Amhara region has become a hotbed of resistance supported by the countryside.

The central government is shifting troops from the Tigrai region including the cities of Mekele and Adwa and other parts of the country to the Amhara area. Currently the 46th. Regiment is heading to Gondar and the 17. Regiment is charged with Addis Ababa the capital.
